The Striation Pendant

A continuation of the nested forms originally explored in the woven bench, this tall pendant light is made from lasercut paper, stacked and interspersed with small glass beads. The structure is lit from a single flood light in the upper chamber. When seen from below, the overlapping paper ribbons coalesce into a solid form, obscuring the light source, while the portions of the piece closer to eye-level remain transparent.
